CONCEPT
Create a protopia–a "better tomorrow" that is realistic and attainable–and invite earthlings to visit our planet. The goal was to show how we interact with our environment to nourish ourselves, hoping they would leave feeling inspired to take better care of their own.

MY ROLE
I helped lead the set design in crafting the space and worked closely with the food team to show their dishes and bring their concepts to life.

THE ORANGE TREE
My main task was turning a pole into a futuristic tree used to display the food team's processed orange peels.
Using only recycled cardboard, glue, and tape, I designed and constructed a tree that could hang the oranges in a unique way and have a display space for her dish.

IDEATION
I spent multiple hours measuring and analyzing the space to envision how people would navigate through our experience. With our main theme being sustainability, I took note of what resources we could borrow and came up with creative solutions to avoid extra costs.

FINAL EVENT
We invited all of the study abroad students and faculty members to come experience our Savor Sphere. They interacted with all of the stations, each having a different food experience and new way for us to consider our relationships with food.
